Job summary

Our Lady of Lourdes School (P North) in Palmerston North invites applications from a warm, inclusive teacher to join our multi cultural Catholic Year 1–8 learning community.

This full-time, permanent position commences Term 4, 2026. The successful candidate will teach across the years 1–8, foster Gospel values, and contribute to the life of our school, including Te Reo Māori and Kapa Haka support.

Qualifications

• Experienced or capable of teaching primary to intermediate levels (Years 1–8).
• Knowledge of structured literacy instruction and numeracy delivery.
• Ability to integrate te reo Māori and culturally responsive practices.

Responsibilities

• Teach Year 1–8 curriculum with a focus on literacy and numeracy.
• Create inclusive and caring classroom environments.
• Support with Kapa Haka and Te Reo Māori activities.

We are seeking a warm, positive, forward thinking teacher to join our school. This is a full-time, permanent position, commencing Term 4, 2026. We are looking for a person who:

• Is Inclusive, caring and places relationships at the heart of their practice
• Has knowledge and experience teaching structured literacy and mathematics
• Displays an ability in Te Reo Māori, music and support with Kapa Haka would be advantageous.
