Job summary

Vets on Waiheke is seeking a dedicated Practice Manager to oversee daily clinic operations, administration, and reception cover, leading a collaborative veterinary and nursing team on Waiheke Island.

This permanent, full-time role offers a 4-day week with an agreed RDO, a minimum 60 hours fortnightly, CPD allowance, and the chance to enjoy island living while contributing to high-quality care for the local community.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) is required
• Previous leadership experience or desire to step into leadership with team support
• Hands-on clinically while leading and developing others
• Strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities in a busy practice
• Excellent communication and collaboration with the team and clients
• Interest in contributing to the clinic's operational and commercial success
• Desire to be part of a close-knit island community and build client relationships

We're now looking for a dedicated and organized Practice Manager to join our team, lead clinic operations, and help support our vibrant practice.

About You

We'd love to hear from you if you bring:

• A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) and previous experience working as a Veterinary Nurse
• Previous leadership experience, or a strong desire to step into a leadership role with the support of an experienced team
• A passion for remaining hands-on clinically while leading and developing others
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy practice
• Confidence, resilience and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, team-first approach
• An interest in contributing to the operational and commercial success of the clinic
• A genuine interest in becoming part of a close-knit island community and building lasting relationships with clients
