Job summary

Delta Utility Services is seeking a Power Technician based in Cromwell, Central Otago. In this role, you will engage in the maintenance and installation of high-voltage electricity distribution systems, ensuring the safety and efficiency of services across the region.

The ideal candidate will possess appropriate electrical registration, a New Zealand Practicing License, and at least four years of experience in zone substations. Enjoy a fulfilling career amidst stunning landscapes and recreational opportunities in Central Otago.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in the high‑voltage electricity distribution industry.
• Proven experience working in zone substations and HV environments.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and complete accurate as‑built documentation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver installation, maintenance, fault finding, testing and commissioning services across the Otago region.
• Respond to faults as part of an after‑hours standby roster.
• Contribute to safe, efficient and high‑quality outcomes for customers and the wider community.
