The Riddet Institute at Massey University invites applications for a part-time Postdoctoral Fellow role based at the Manawatu campus in Palmerston North to study the functionality of semi-refined plant-based ingredients.
You will lead experiments on protein functionality, collaborate across disciplines, mentor students, and publish findings, with a focus on real-world food applications and impact on New Zealand's food sector.
The Riddet Institute is a world-best research centre in food and nutritional sciences, providing fundamental scientific understanding and training for a new generation of science leaders. The Institute integrates partner organisations (Massey University (host), Auckland and Otago Universities, AgResearch and Plant & Food Research) and disciplines, leading a \"NZ Inc\" approach to food research, and generates knowledge and capability that transforms the New Zealand food industry.
We are seeking a high-achieving researcher with a strong background in food science, food chemistry and/or food technology to work on a project related to functionality of semi-refined plant-based ingredients and potential food applications. This position is part-time (0.5 FTE), fixed term for two years and based on the Manawatu campus in Palmerston North.

The salary for this position will depend on skills and experience but will be in the range of Postdoctoral Fellow ($86,113 to $103,953).
