Job summary

A leading industrial fluids company in Taranaki, New Zealand is seeking an Electrochemical Brush Plater to perform various plating tasks using specialized equipment. The ideal candidate should have at least a high school diploma or GED and some related experience. The role includes maintaining tools, ensuring a safe work environment, and establishing positive customer relations. Competitive hourly pay starting at $18.50 based on experience will be offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs plating work utilizing appropriate equipment and solutions as defined by the SIFCO Process.
• Adheres to all specifications as detailed on customer purchase orders.
• Assists Contract Service Manager in preparing accurate costs for the Quoting process.
• Works with Inside Sales to help resolve customer technical questions.
• Designs and makes tooling and fixtures to facilitate efficient and effective plating.
• Maintains equipment in working order, identifies items needing maintenance and repair.
• Maintains work area to assure safe and clean work environment.
• Establishes and maintains positive and professional customer relations when interacting with customer representatives.
• Travels as required to meet customer delivery expectations.
