Job summary

Inspired Education Group's ACG Strathallan College in Auckland invites an experienced Year 7–13 Physical Education Teacher to join our team. This permanent role starts Term 1, 2027, delivering motivating, differentiated PE lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum and fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment with high student achievement.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Physical Education to Years 7–13 with ability to engage learners of varying abilities.
• Ability to plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated PE lessons.
• Experience assessing student progress and providing meaningful feedback to students and parents.
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to build positive relationships.
• Experience coaching and leading school sports teams and promoting participation and excellence.
• Experience contributing to extracurricular activities, events, camps and pastoral initiatives.
• Cambridge International curricula experience is advantageous.
• NZ Teacher registration with BA and/or MBA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing timely feedback to students and parents.

• Coach and lead school sports teams, promoting excellence, teamwork, sportsmanship, and student participation in competitive sport.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to enhance teaching practice, curriculum delivery, and student outcomes.
• Uphold the school's safeguarding, health and safety, and professional standards while building strong relationships with students, staff, and families.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Demonstrated experience teaching Physical Education to students across Years 7-13, with the ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
• Proven ability to plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons that support student achievement and wellbeing.
• Experience assessing student progress, maintaining accurate records, and providing meaningful feedback to students and parents.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
• Experience coaching and leading school sports teams, with the ability to promote participation, teamwork, and sporting excellence.
• Experience contributing to the wider life of a school through extracurricular activities, events, camps, and pastoral initiatives.
• Previous experience with Cambridge International curricula is advantageous but not essential.
• NZ Teacher registration with supporting teaching qualifications (BA and/or MBA).
