Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking an experienced perioperative nurse or anaesthetic technician for a seven-month secondment in Auckland. The role focuses on professional leadership, coaching staff, and monitoring standards of care within the Greenlane Surgical Unit (GSU).

You will coordinate daily clinical activity across Urology, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology and ENT for adults and paediatric patients.

Qualifications

• Current NZ Nursing Registration / Anaesthetic Technician Registration and annual practicing certificate.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience post registration.
• Desire to develop people, lead with influence, and drive high standards of care across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily clinical coordination and operational oversight of Urology, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology and ENT services for adults and paediatric patients.
• Lead, coach and support staff; promote teamwork and monitor standards of practice in the Greenlane Surgical Unit.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centred care.
