Job summary

Watercare Services Limited is expanding its People team and recruiting for a generalist Employment Relations role. You will support day-to-day ER activity and lead ER projects, delivering on People pillars that impact the whole business.

You will work with business leaders and Partners, applying legislation, reporting on People metrics, and developing people solutions to meet changing needs. This is a strategic ER-focused HR role within Watercare's People function.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR advisory, in-house legal or ER lead role.
• Experience providing ER support to senior stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of employment legislation and end-to-end employee life-cycle activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide ER case support to business leaders and Business Partners.
• Offer employment relations expertise, including staying abreast of legislation.
• Provide insightful reporting on People metrics and use data to drive improvements.
• Develop and input into wider Employment and Industrial Relations approaches.
• Drive the People calendar, operational trackers and policy updates.
• Contribute to and deliver a People strategy aligned to business needs and plan.

He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the role

We’re extending our People team, and these new roles will support and work alongside the wider team including our Business Partners. This is a generalist position where you will be involved in day-to-day Employment Relations support whilst also leading and delivering on People and Capability ER projects and initiatives. This role will have a specialist element and will play a key role in implementing our People pillars and projects that impact the whole business.

Here is what you could be involved with on any given day:

• Providing support to business leaders and Business Partners with ER cases
• Offering employment relations expertise, including keeping abreast of relevant legislation
• Providing insightful reporting on People metrics and using data to drive business improvement
• For the right candidate, building and inputting into our wider Employment and Industrial Relations approach
• Driving our People calendar, our operational trackers and policy updates
• Developing and contributing to a range of people solutions/projects that meet the changing needs of the business
• Contributing to and delivering a People strategy aligned to the business needs and company plan

If you have the following skills and experience, we would love to hear from you:

• Previous experience in an HR Advisory, in-house legal or ER Lead role
• Experience providing ER support to senior stakeholders
• In depth Knowledge of employment legislation and end-to-end employee life-cycle activities
