Job summary

Health New Zealand Waitematā (Te Whatu Ora) is seeking a Medical Laboratory Pre-Analytical Technician to join the Waitematā District Specimen Services. The part-time 0.8FTE role involves contributing to rapid specimen processing and data entry within a busy laboratory team.

The successful candidate should have data entry experience, knowledge of specimen tube types and strong written and spoken English, with shifts across North Shore and Waitakere Hospital laboratories.

Qualifications

• Data entry experience in a laboratory.
• Knowledge of sample collection tube types.
• Excellent written and verbal English skills.

Responsibilities

• Fully rostered shifts; Monday to Sunday including evening and midnight shifts.
• Work across North Shore Hospital and Waitakere Hospital Laboratory campuses.
• Cover weekdays, weekends and public holidays; operate in a fast-paced environment.
