Are you a skilled painter looking for your next opportunity? Tradestaff Otago is seeking experienced painters to work on a variety of residential and commercial projects. If you take pride in your craftsmanship and want steady, rewarding work, we’d love to hear from you!

Otagowill be the predominate area of work for this role – however you may also be required to work in the Southland region. This will be discussed further with the successful applicant.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include:
• Setting up scaffolding, ladders, and protective coverings to safeguard surfaces
• Preparing surfaces by removing old paint, repairing woodwork, filling cracks, and sealing areas
• Mixing paints to achieve precise colours and finishes
• Applying paint, varnishes, and stains using brushes, rollers, and spray techniques
• Hanging wallpaper with precision and seamless pattern matching

What We’re Looking For:

• A minimum of 3+ years’ experience and/or a relevant Trade Qualification
• A valid Reliable Transport
• Two verifiable work references
• A strong commitment to Health & Safety standards
• The ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
• A valid work visa or the legal right to work in New Zealand
• Expertise in surface preparation, colour matching, and application techniques
