Job summary

Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital is seeking a Paediatric Registrar to join the Paediatric Department. The 2027 training year commences on 1 February 2027, with mid-year intakes on 2 August 2027.

The combined RMOs share a roster covering all acute areas including the Childrens Ward, Level 2A Special Care Baby Unit and Delivery Suite. This rotation provides valuable supervised experience in Outpatient Clinics and offers progression toward paediatric physician training with the RACP.

Qualifications

• You are a Resident Medical Officer (RMO) PGY4 or above.
• Registration or eligibility for general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Roster covers all acute paediatric areas including the Children's Ward, Level 2A Special Care Baby Unit and Delivery Suite.
• Supervised experience in outpatient clinics and opportunities for paediatric training progression.
