Job summary

Physiotherapy New Zealand – Wellington, North Island is seeking a part-time Physiotherapist to join the Child Development Service (CDS) physiotherapy team. The role involves professional assessment and intervention for children aged 0–16 years across clinic and community settings.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team across three sites and contribute to holistic, family-centred care delivered in homes and education settings.

Qualifications

• Three years of clinical practice required.
• Recent paediatric experience in child development.
• Knowledge of neurodevelopmental norms and ages and stages 0–16 years.
• Neurological and musculoskeletal assessment skills.
• Ability to assess impact of prematurity, congenital or acquired conditions and long-term illness.

Responsibilities

• Perform neurodevelopmental, neurological and musculoskeletal assessments for 0–16 year olds.
• Provide intervention as part of the CDS physiotherapy team.
• Work across CDS sites (Kenepuru, Puketiro, Te Wao Nui) and in community settings.
• Collaborate with families and whānau in home and school environments.
