Job summary

Abbott in New Zealand is seeking a Production Manager for our dairy manufacturing plant in Pokeno, Waikato. You will lead the production line(s), ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency to meet deployed targets.

You will manage 24/7 shift operations, drive continuous improvement, uphold ISO and HACCP standards, and develop teams across the plant. This role demands a tertiary qualification and deep FMCG manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Requires tertiary degree, diploma, or minimum 5 years in a dairy manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading, developing and engaging teams.
• Proven understanding of dairy manufacturing processes and systems.
• Proven knowledge of Food Safety and HACCP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Production Plant or line(s) and be responsible for overall performance.
• Accountable for 24-hour, multi-shift accountability and production targets.
• Ensure H&S performance, practices and culture across the line and teams.
• Deliver process reliability and quality measures across the production line.
• Uphold ISO compliance and related Quality policies and procedures.
• Promote teamwork, succession planning, and capability development.
• Ensure timely timesheet completion and training compliance.
