The Pacific Animal Health Diagnostics Specialist plays a key role in delivering the animal health component of the Enhanced Pacific Biosecurity Partnership (EPBP). This role combines technical expertise with strong relationship management and regional collaboration. You will work closely with Pacific governments, laboratories, animal health agencies, regional partners, and MPI technical experts to support diagnostics, preparedness, and surveillance outcomes that are fit for purpose in Pacific contexts. You will bring a strong background in animal health and a passion for building sustainable capability and partnerships across diverse environments. Whether your experience has been gained in veterinary services, animal health laboratories, diagnostics, epidemiology, or a related field, you will be confident working across technical and operational settings. You will be someone who enjoys connecting with people, establishing new partnerships, and working alongside colleagues and stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes. You will bring a pragmatic, culturally aware approach, adapting confidently to different environments and ways of working. A supportive and collaborative team player, you will be comfortable working across organisations, influencing without authority, and helping partners build capability in a way that is sustainable, practical, and locally led.
