The opportunity

An exciting opportunity has presented itself for a Telecommunications Outside Plant Designer to work with Downer.

What you'll do

• The production of designs, which satisfy, in a timely way, all internal and external customer requirements
• Gather subcontractor quote based on design provided
• All tender costs are compiled on an approved pricing model and peer review process followed
• Ensure designs are technically compliant and meet client requirements
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to build rapport and foster relationships to understand their specific requirements

What we're looking for

• The ability to apply technical knowledge to the design and quoting process
• Extensive knowledge of fibre optic networks to allow design and pricing
• A sound understanding of the financial requirements of the quoting, design and project management processes
• Skilled in relevant Client Software Systems (SmallWorld, GIS), MS Office Suite, and Visio
• The ability to work well within a team as well as on sole‑charge work
• Well‑developed organisational skills - including written and oral communication
