Job summary

PowerNet in Invercargill is seeking an outage planning professional to coordinate planning and delivery of outages across our electricity networks. You will work alongside experienced System Controllers to navigate operational challenges, balance reliability for customers, and contribute to evolving our control room functions with new technologies and processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in electricity distribution operations or planning.
• Understanding of 66kV electricity network equipment.
• Ability to assess information, identify risks and make sound operational decisions.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and systems.
• Solid IT capability across multiple systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the planning and delivery of outages across electricity networks.
• Work with System Controllers and industry experts to navigate operational challenges.
• Balance network access with customer reliability and safety.
• Evolve control room functions as new technologies are introduced.
• Maintain consistent Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm work pattern.
