Job summary

Surf Life Saving New Zealand (SLSNZ) is seeking a Support Lead for the Southern region, based in Dunedin. The casual contract role covers coordination of sport and lifesaving delivery, events and equipment logistics during the summer season.

You will work with regional teams, clubs and volunteers to plan, deliver and report on programmes and activities, ensuring a high standard of participant and stakeholder experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in programme, event or project coordination.
• Strong organisational and administration skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Full New Zealand Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of regional sport and lifesaving programmes and events.
• Assist with preparation, planning and coordination of events, competitions, training and development activities.
• Provide logistical, compliance and administrative support across both portfolios.
• Coordinate communications with clubs, volunteers and members.
• Maintain programme and event records and reporting requirements.
• Assist SLSNZ to ensure that participants and stakeholders expectations are met and where possible exceeded.
• Manage resources required to deliver local events including logistics of equipment and infrastructure.
• Coordinate safe transportation of equipment and setup/breakdown of event infrastructure.
