Job summary

Napier City Council is seeking an Open Space Service Delivery Lead to identify and implement service levels for all open space assets across the city. Job description

The Open Space Service Delivery Lead is responsible for identifying and implementing theservice levels for the city for all open space assets through the Napier City Operationsteam. The output will be a city that is clean, safe and looking great for the communitywhere the service level is appropriate for the users’ needs.

The Open Space assets include cemeteries, parks, toilets, community halls, fountains,trees, sports parks, formal gardens, trails, playgrounds, street gardens and general grassmaintenance.

This role will ensure the organisational vision, strategy and community expectations are delivered by the predominantly in-house team through a formal service level agreementat an agreed cost. The Open Space Service Delivery Lead is accountable for working collaboratively with theOperations Strategy & Delivery Manager who is responsible for the City Operational teamwho are delivering the services.
As a senior leader, the role sets clear direction and expectations, builds capability andfosters collaboration across Council and the delivery partners. Through the establishmentof regular auditing of the open spaces monthly feedback will be provided to the CityOperations team which in time will provide a clear record of achievement.
