Job description

Jora New Zealand will close on 16th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey.

Contented is a New Zealand software company built on a simple belief: the future of work is conversational. We're building the AI-powered workspace to prove it.

Every day, teams have conversations that matter, client meetings, board updates, site walkthroughs, and let the value in them disappear the moment the call ends.

Contented turns those conversations into structured business documentation automatically, so nothing gets lost. Customers like BDO, Craigs Investment Partners, Duncan Cotterill, and Alliance Group already run it as part of how they work.

We're not just building software, we're building a movement. Our work was featured at the UN General Assembly, we're partnering with great businesses worldwide, and our lead technical advisor is a former Microsoft VP. We're growing fast and looking for people who want to grow with us.

About the role

You take a signed customer and turn their idea of what Contented could do into a working system their people actually trust, from kickoff through to habitual usage.

You'll work alongside senior stakeholders in regulated industries: wealth management, law, construction, healthcare, agriculture. These are people with real constraints, existing systems, low on time and high expectations. Your job is to design an onboarding process that respects all four.

A lot of this role happens in front of a room (virtually or in-person). Contented onboardings are fun, and that's deliberate. We often open with "would you rather" and let people be ridiculous while the stakes are zero. By the time it matters, the awkwardness is gone and nobody's thinking about being recorded. It also gives us a recording that shows the magic of Contented straight away.

If you're the person who can hold a room, read it, and get a group of serious professionals laughing keep reading.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead post-sale onboarding from kickoff onwards
  • Act as the customer's primary onboarding specialist, in close partnership with our CSM and technical success specialist
  • Run structured scoping sessions to understand objectives, workflows, and constraints
  • Run the sessions themselves: kickoffs, first captures, and training that people actually enjoy being in
  • Design the templates and capture workflows that fit how the customer actually works, built from their own documentation
  • Manage customer requests through onboarding, keeping both sides clear on status and next steps
About you
  • A natural in front of a room. Maybe you've facilitated, trained, MC'd, or done theatre; wherever it comes from, you enjoy an audience and know how to work one
  • Genuinely curious about people, quick to build rapport with everyone from an EA to a room of partners
  • 3+ years in implementation, professional services, onboarding, or customer delivery for complex B2B SaaS
  • Have run rollouts with a lot of stakeholders and competing priorities
  • Can take an ambiguous problem, scope it, design a structured solution, and actually execute it
  • Technically fluent enough to hold your own on data models, integrations, and system constraints without being an engineer
  • Comfortable setting expectations, holding a boundary, and saying no when it's the right answer
  • Relentlessly resourceful with a strong internal sense of urgency and a bias towards doing it today
Why us

We're genuinely passionate. The bar is high and the work ethic matches it. You'll stretch yourself daily, work with people who care, and get real autonomy alongside regular feedback.

We move fast. You'll spend a lot of time outside your comfort zone, learning and iterating. That's the job, not a phase.

We're all owners. Small team, real ownership. Your ideas matter regardless of your title, and the implementations you run are genuinely yours.

Office-first, with flexibility for working from home when you need it

Monthly team lunches, celebrating wins together

Office in Christchurch CBD, free snacks, drinks on tap, social spaces, and one of the best cafes in Christchurch 50 metres away

FAQs

How far along are we? We've 3x'd our revenue with 400+ business customers globally, and a team of 18. We raised a seed round led by Altered Capital after bootstrapping to over $1M ARR ourselves. We're targeting some big goals by year end, so the next few months matter.

Is this a chill gig? No. It's a small team doing a lot, and you'll own real customers from your first weeks with no long ramp-up. It's hard work, but you'll have genuine ownership over how this function gets built.

Can I work remotely? This is an office-based role in Christchurch CBD, with flexibility to work from home when you need it.
