Flexible working: some in the office with your team – some from home

Part-time 0.7 FTE OD role with flexibility, autonomy and meaningful people impact

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a rare opportunity to shape work that makes a real difference for people across Pāmu.

As Organisational Development Business Partner, you’ll work across a varied mix of OD priorities, including belonging, inclusion, equity and diversity, staff engagement, capability, culture and change.

You’ll join a collaborative People team where you are trusted to bring your expertise, use your judgement and get on with meaningful work.

You’ll have the benefit of a supportive manager, close connection with HR Business Partners, and another OD colleague to share ideas with, so while you’ll have plenty of ownership, you won’t be working in isolation.

The current person in this role, Alex, is heading off to an amazing opportunity and will be greatly missed.

Before she leaves, she wanted to share this message with the next person who steps into the role: “Wow what a role! You get to work with a dream team and be in a role that makes a real impact. In this role you get to work across the business to make a difference, while being supported by highly skilled colleagues. This role is exciting and fun where you get to see projects through to completion, facilitate the development of our leaders and take the reins with DEIB. I enjoyed every day at Pāmu, and you will to.”

The work is broad, practical and people centred. One day you might be helping leaders understand engagement insights through, another day designing a workshop, supporting an inclusion initiative, or working alongside our diverse on-farm teams across Aotearoa to help people feel heard, included and supported at work.

This is a 0.7 FTE part-time role with flexibility to work from home. We value flexibility and trust, while also recognising there will be times when being available for a full day matters, particularly when facilitating workshops or spending time with teams.

If you enjoy variety, autonomy and work that helps people feel included, heard and able to do their best work, this role offers the chance to make a visible contribution while joining a team people genuinely love being part of.

ABOUT YOU

You’ll bring curiosity, empathy and practical OD experience, which may have been developed through organisational development, learning and development, culture, engagement, inclusion, change, leadership development, facilitation or another people-focused pathway.

We value different backgrounds and experiences, and we’re interested in what you can bring to the role. You don’t need to be the loudest voice in the room. What matters is that you can create space for good conversations, ask thoughtful questions and help people move from ideas to practical action.

You’ll enjoy partnering with others, building trust and adapting your approach for different teams, leaders and ways of working.

You don’t need to meet every point to be considered. Some of the experience that would help you succeed includes:

  • Experience, or transferable skills, in organisational development, learning and development, culture, engagement, inclusion, change or a related people-focused discipline.
  • Experience designing or facilitating workshops, or the interest and ability to grow this skill, with flexibility to be available for full days when workshop delivery requires it.
  • A practical, relationship-led style and the ability to work well with HR Business Partners, leaders and people across different parts of the business.
  • A genuine interest in belonging, inclusion, equity and diversity, and helping create workplaces where people feel respected, heard and able to contribute.
  • Comfort using, or willingness to work with, people data, engagement insights or systems such as Workday/Pkong to identify themes and support action.
