Job summary

Right at Home Australia is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our growing Allied Health team. This role delivers therapy programs under supervision to help clients in their homes and community settings improve independence and wellbeing.

You will work with experienced Occupational Therapists to support goal attainment, promote person-centred care, and contribute to positive client outcomes while benefiting from ongoing professional development and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care, disability support, community care, or allied health assistance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Current National Police Clearance.
• Current Working with Children Check where applicable.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Reliable motor vehicle with comprehensive insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing therapy programs developed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Support clients to achieve their individual therapy goals and maximise independence.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, mobility, and functional tasks.
• Monitor client progress and provide feedback to the Occupational Therapist.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Assist with the setup, maintenance, and safe use of therapeutic equipment.
• Work collaboratively with clients, families, carers, and the multidisciplinary team.
• Comply with Right at Home policies, procedures, and Work Health and Safety requirements.
