Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking an Occupational Therapist for the Allied Response Team (ART) in New Plymouth. This permanent, 0.94 FTE position supports rapid, patient-centered care across ED, inpatient units and community settings.

You will provide holistic assessments and short-term packages of care, collaborating with physiotherapy, social work, and medical teams to facilitate discharge planning and home-based recovery.

Qualifications

• Current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate registration.
• Current New Zealand full driver’s license.
• Commitment to translating evidence into practice.
• Commitment to biculturalism and achieving equitable outcomes for Māori.
• Understanding of healthcare in New Zealand.
• Computer literacy: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook.
