Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora - Whanganui is seeking an O&G consultant/Advanced Trainee Registrar. You would be part of a team of six Obstetrics and Gynaecology Specialists/Consultants, one Trainee Registrar and one House Officer along with midwives to improve health and well-being of the female population in the Whanganui region.

Qualifications

• Registered or eligible for Vocational Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (SMO).
• Hold FRANZCOG or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
• General Registration (or eligible) if applying as Advanced Trainee Registrar.
• EPIC source verification may be required for overseas qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical and surgical care related to pregnancy, childbirth, and female reproductive health.
• Teach and develop our junior medical team and contribute to education.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and support the acute roster.
