Job summary

Busy Bees Pahiatua is seeking a qualified early childhood educator to join a close-knit team rooted in the Tararua farming community. This 32 hours per week fixed-term role runs until end of October 2027, offering a supportive whānau, nature-based learning and opportunities to enrich tamariki learning.

You will plan learning journeys using Te Whāriki, document progress with high-quality assessments, foster belonging, collaborate with colleagues, and maintain a safe, beautiful learning

Qualifications

• NZ ECE or primary teaching qualification with current NZ registration.
• Warm communication and ability to build strong relationships.
• Proactive spirit and fair, ethical practice.
• Passion for NZ curriculum and sharing creative ideas.
• Confidence using digital tools to document learning and connect with families.

Responsibilities

• Draw on Te Whāriki to plan and guide the educational journey of each child.
• Capture and share high-quality assessments to celebrate progress.
