Job summary
Danone ANZ seeks a Product Development Technologist in Auckland to drive end-to-end product development, focusing on manufacturing process optimisation and nutritional powder formulation, with plant integration across sites. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes, manage trials, and maintain technical documentation, contributing to leadership in early life nutrition.

Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Dairy Science, Life Science or Human Nutrition.
- Experience in a comparable dairy or infant formula role preferred.
- Familiarity with FSANZ/GB/FSMP regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
Responsibilities
- Champion optimization of products and processes; cost-effective recipe design and scalable improvements.
- Provide operational support at Auckland and Balclutha sites; maintain product portfolios.
- Drive formulation advancements, sourcing ingredients, trials, testing, and documentation.
- Identify productivity improvements delivering measurable business value.
- Monitor and analyse product and plant performance to drive excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives.
