Job summary

MedRecruit Limited is seeking locum cover for a large hospital in the Wairarapa region, New Zealand. Availability is required for multiple blocks from late Oct 2026 to Apr 2027, including some on-call periods.

Travel and accommodation are provided as part of the arrangement. The hospital delivers 24‑hour acute and emergency services with a range of secondary medical, surgical and O&G capabilities, and has recently moved into a brand-new building.

Job description

Locum cover is required for:

• 27 - 30 October 2026 (includes on-call overnight on 27 October)
• 2 - 6 November 2026
• 10 - 12 November 2026
• 24 - 26 November 2026 (possible on-call 25 November)
• 2 - 4 December 2026
• 14 - 20 December 2026 (on-call weekend)
• 4 - 8 January 2027
• 11 - 17 January 2027 (on-call weekend)
• 18 - 22 January 2027
• 25 - 31 January 2027 (on-call weekend)
• 22 March - 25 April 2027 (any weeks within this period, including weekends)

Location Information

The hospital is located in a large town in the Wairarapa region of the North Island, an hour north of Wellington. The Wairarapa region's wine and food make it a treasure trove for gourmets.
