Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for the Emergency Department at Wairau Hospital, Marlborough. The role requires a NP with 5+ years in emergency nursing and proven capability to lead best practice care within a busy ED.

About the Role

The NursePractitioner - Emergency Department is an experienced nurse practitionerworking within and across Te Whatu Ora (Nelson Marlborough). This role requiresa nurse practitioner with 5+ years of recent clinical experience in emergencynursing who can demonstrate sound clinical leadership and the ability to workcollaboratively.

About the Team/Service/ Location

We have a small but busy Emergency Department atWairau Hospital with 2 resus rooms and 13 treatment spaces and provide asupportive and nurturing workplace to assist staff to meet the challenges ofthis diverse area, at the frontline of the acute health care service.Professionaldevelopment is important to us and we encourage all staff to participate intraining and education.

About you

If you are a skilled and committed nursepractitioner with expert knowledge and skills and a passion for emergency care- this could be the position for you. You will have NCNZ registration as anurse practitioner, a current practising certificate and a full driver'slicence. You will be flexible, dynamic, understand the complex emergencyenvironment, and be willing to work with another nurse practitioner to developthe service within the department. Your leadership skills will be well honedand you will be keen to support and mentor registered nurses as part of regularactivity, and as part of advanced career pathways for RNs.
