Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a Nurse Educator to work across the Wellington Emergency Department and the Wellington Crisis Resolution Service. You will lead education initiatives to lift ED staff skills and confidence when caring for people in mental health crisis.

The role collaborates with the MHAIDS Mental Health ED Team and the Speciality Clinical Nurse to assess educational needs, design sessions, and support practice development.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand.
• Current practising certificate required.
• Undergraduate or postgraduate programme in mental health nursing.
• Three years mental health nursing experience.
• Qualification in adult education or working towards it.

Responsabilités

• Lead education initiatives across Wellington ED and CRS to raise staff skills for mental health crises.
• Develop and implement education sessions and resources for staff and whānau.
• Conduct training needs assessments and tailor programmes to clinical practice.
• Collaborate with the MHAIDS Mental Health ED Team and specialty nurses to support professional development.
