Job summary

Foodstuffs North Island in Whakatāne is seeking a Night Shift Forklift Operator / Grocery Assistant to join our team. This on-site, full-time role involves operating a forklift and reach truck, stocking shelves, and supporting the Dry Goods, Grocery, and Operations teams during the night shift.

You will work a Sun-Wed or Thu-Sun pattern from 8.00pm to 6.30am, with safety as a priority. NZ residency or valid NZ work visa is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a similar role.
• Must hold a current forklift license.
• Safety focused and physically fit (lift up to 25 kg).

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and reach truck in storerooms, the store and the external yard.
• Ensure stock is available for morning team members and customers.
• Stock shelves and cages by hand.
• Retrieve pellets from the ground level and use the reach truck to access higher racking.
• Complete tasks quickly, safely and accurately.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and maintain housekeeping in your areas.
• Be an active member of the Dry Goods, Grocery, Operations teams.
