Job summary

aah is seeking a Night Shift RN for a Level 3 NICU with 2 years of Level 3 NICU experience. This full-time role features self-scheduling, day-to-day floating, and 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with 36 hours per week and BLS certification required.

Qualifications

• 2 years Level 3 RN experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, involving patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Continuous evaluation of patient, team, and unit outcomes with action as needed.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per protocols.
• Communicates effectively, provides feedback, and delegates appropriately.
• Pursues professional development and maintains required certifications.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and ethical decision-making for patient care.
• Appropriate delegation to RNs, LPNs, and unlicensed staff.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units within service area if needed.
