Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Wellington Central, NZ, seeks a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Neurology for a full-time, on-site role at Wellington Regional Hospital. The CNS will lead education clinics for newly diagnosed patients and conduct follow-ups to support ongoing management and medication review.

The CNS will liaise with Neurologists, community teams, and allied health to optimise outcomes and act as a resource for patients and families in a busy regional service.

Qualifications

• Clinical nurse with neurology experience preferred.
• Experience educating patients and families about diagnosis, treatment options and lifestyle changes.
• Ability to liaison with neurologists and allied health teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead education clinics for newly diagnosed patients.
• Conduct face-to-face and telephone follow-ups for ongoing support and medication review.
• Collaborate with Neurology to optimise patient outcomes and manage chronic conditions.
