Job summary

Veolia New Zealand is recruiting for a Network Operator / Lining Technician based in Auckland to deliver trenchless renewals in three waters networks.

You will ensure safety, quality and SOP compliance while delivering onsite renewals and contributing to the regional operations team. The role requires maintaining fleet readiness, reporting issues, and adhering to OH&S policies. If you have drainlaying, plumbing, wastewater or CCTV experience, this role could be perfect for you.

Qualifications

  • An effective communicator who can establish and maintain good working relationships with staff at all levels and clients.
  • Self-starter who can work with a high degree of autonomy, personal integrity and a strong work ethic.
  • Planning and organisational ability.
  • Proven ability to maintain accurate work records.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Good literacy, numeracy and computer literacy.
  • Current full driver's licence (preferably Class 2).

Responsibilities

  • Onsite delivery of wastewater and stormwater network renewal upgrades.
  • Contribute to the regional based operations team as required.
  • Ensure fleet and equipment is serviceable and report issues promptly.
  • Comply with Veolia NZ OH&S and Environmental Policy Statements, including toolbox talks.
  • Report problems with the business management system related to OH&S and environment.
  • Undertake general duties for the effective provision of services to the client and customers.

The Opportunity

Based in Auckland, and reporting to the Team Leader, the Network Operator / Lining Technician's primary role is to ensure safe, efficient and quality delivery of trenchless renewals in the three waters network whilst making sure processes and installation SOPs are followed to ensure achievement of Veolia's and clients outcomes.

If you have experience in any of the following: drainlaying, plumbing, wastewater and stormwater networks, operating robotic cutter, CCTV systems, this role could be perfect for you.

What you'll be responsible for

Includes:

  • Onsite delivery of wastewater and stormwater network renewal upgrades.
  • Contribute to the regional based operations team as required.
  • Ensure all fleet and equipment is serviceable and any issues or unserviceability is reported to the construction manager as soon as identified.
  • Comply with the requirements of Veolia New Zealand Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Policy Statements, including participation at local toolbox and health and safety meetings.
  • Report any problems with the business management system, particularly in relation to the management of occupational health and safety, environment and drinking water.
  • Undertake such general duties as required for the effective provision of services to the client and customers.
What you'll need to be successful

  • Basic Understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
  • Current full driver's licence (preferably with Class 2)
