Job summary

Broadlands School in New Zealand is seeking a nurturing, engaging and dynamic teacher for Term 4 or later by negotiation. The role focuses on delivering high-quality early learning programmes aligned with the refreshed NZ Curriculum for Years 1–8.

You will build strong relationships with students, colleagues, parents/whānau and the wider community, working both collaboratively and independently within a supportive team. Your contribution to our virtues-based culture will be valued.

Qualifications

• NZ registered teacher with current NZ residency.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with students, families and community.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality early learning programmes informed by the refreshed New Zealand Curriculum.
• Deliver learning programmes for Years 1–8 in a primary/intermediate setting.
• Foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, parents/whānau and the wider community.
• Contribute positively to a virtues-based school culture.

For a Term 4 start, or later by negotiation, we seek to appoint a nurturing, engaging and dynamic teacher who is able to provide quality early learning programmes informed by the refreshed New Zealand Curriculum.

The successful applicant will have strong communication skills and be able to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, parents/whānau and the wider community.

The successful applicant will have the motivation, skills and ability to work both collaboratively and independently within a strong team of enthusiastic and professional educators. Your ability to contribute positively towards our highly-regarded virtues-based culture will be an asset.

We are seeking a practitioner with:

• strong pedagogical knowledge and practice of learning programmes at the junior level including Structured Literacy,Structured Maths, PMP and Oral Language development would be a significant advantage.
• a professional who is culturally literate, with some experience and/or knowledge of the needs of ESOL learners,
• exceptional classroom management skills,
• empathy towards, and experience of teaching learners with a diverse range of learning and behavioural needs.
