Job summary

Placements24 in Queenstown, South Africa, is seeking a caring Nanny & After-School Facilitator to care for two school-aged children (ages 7 and 9). You will supervise after school, help with homework, and lead enriching activities in a warm, safe home environment.

Ideal candidates are organized, reliable, and communicate well with parents. First Aid/ CPR is required. A valid driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of nanny/childcare experience.
• Experience assisting primary school children with homework.
• Strong understanding of child development for school-aged children.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• First Aid and CPR certification is required.
• Ability to provide good references from childcare roles.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transport preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive supervision after school for two children.
• Assist with homework completion and study habits.
• Organize age-appropriate activities, including play, sports, and educational games.
• Prepare healthy snacks and light meals.
• Ensure safety and wellbeing at home and on outings.
