Job summary

Recruitmenthub is seeking a reliable Agricultural Machinery Operator to join a farming operation in Otago. This permanent, full-time role focuses on operating machinery across day-to-day and seasonal farming activities, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours.

Applicants should have agricultural study or at least two years of practical farming experience. Training in machinery operation is provided, and the position is based in Otago with salary dependent on skills and experience.

Job description

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Agricultural Machinery Operator to join our farming operation in Otago.

This is a permanent, full-time role with a strong focus on operating agricultural machinery used across day-to-day and seasonal farming activities, we guarantee a minimum of 30 hours.

Applicants must have a good understanding of agriculture gained through either relevant agricultural study or at least two years of practical work experience in an agricultural environment.

Key Tasks

• Operating tractors and associated agricultural implements
• Operating harvesting machinery
• Operating sprayers and crop application machinery
• Operating balers and other seasonal agricultural machinery
• Following workplace health and safety procedures
• Working safely around staff, vehicles, machinery and crops
• Assisting with other machinery-related agricultural duties when required

About You

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Proven agricultural tertiary qualification; or
• At least two years of work experience in agriculture

You will also need to:
