Bathurst Resources is New Zealand’s largest coal-specialist mining company. We produce over 2.2 million tonnes of coal each year and proudly employ over 550 people. The Stockton Opencast Mine is located close to the coast on a plateau in the Buller coalfield, 35 north of Westport. This is one of New Zealand’s largest mines with a long history of coal production and produces high value coal for export to the world’s leading steel makers.

We’re looking for an excavator specialist to join our rehabilitation crew. Our rehabilitation crew are responsible for returning our previously mined work areas, back to it’s original state. The Mine Operator (excavator specialist) will play a key role in shaping rehab areas as a part of our commitment to rehabilitating the land. You’ll work as a part of a small team. 10‑hour shifts, Monday to Friday.
