# Medical Advisor at Ministry of Health, Wellington## Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role* Wellington based | up to 22 hours per week* Fixed term until September 2027* Salary midpoint of $130,470 per annum pro-rated**Ko ake mahi - What you'll do** In this role you will be part of a team approving new medicines for New Zealanders. By using your critical appraisal skills and clinical knowledge you will evaluate the clinical trial data and other scientific information to determine if the benefits of a medicine outweigh the risks of side effects. You will also help regulate medicines in use by evaluating if new indications are acceptable and monitoring safety. Your ability to build and maintain working relationships will help you effectively make decisions that will impact public health.
