Job summary

Recreation Aotearoa Te Whai Oranga is seeking a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to lead marketing and communications activities. You will produce content for multiple sectors, manage social channels, and support event marketing with engaging visuals and clear messaging.

The role focuses on delivering consistent communications, using data-driven insights to improve reach and impact, and exploring new tools to enhance efficiency. Wellington-based, 32–40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in producing electronic direct mail (eDM) content and campaigns.
• Experience with photography and videography for marketing materials.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills across channels.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in content.
• Proven time management with multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver sector eNewsletters and member communications.
• Manage social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram): create, schedule, publish, monitor content.
• Support marketing plans for events and programmes.
• Design and produce marketing materials for events and programmes.
• Maintain a content calendar for consistent communications across channels.
• Repurpose content across channels for maximum reach and impact.
• Use inclusive, accessible practices in newsletters and content.
• Monitor performance and report insights to inform improvements.
• Utilise marketing automation and workflows to improve efficiency.
• Explore new digital tools, including AI, to enhance activities.
