Job summary

Goldstone Aluminium Limited, trading as Nulook North Harbour, Auckland, seeks an experienced Internal Auditor to strengthen internal control, risk management, compliance and operational review processes. This is a permanent full-time role, requiring at least 40 hours per week.

The Internal Auditor will independently review and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, financial and operational processes, risk management procedures, and compliance systems across the business.

Qualifications

• A relevant Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Commerce, Business, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of relevant professional experience in internal auditing, external auditing, risk, compliance, financial control, or a closely related field.
• Sound knowledge of internal audit principles, internal controls, risk management, and financial processes.
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to prepare clear internal audit reports.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct internal audits across financial, operational, manufacturing and administrative functions.
• Review internal control systems, policies and business procedures for effectiveness.
• Examine financial and operational records for accuracy and compliance with procedures.
• Identify weaknesses and control deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor implementation and effectiveness of audit recommendations.
• Review manufacturing operations and procurement controls for risk and efficiency.
• Prepare internal audit reports and present findings with practical recommendations.
• Follow up on audit recommendations and maintain audit working papers.
