Job summary

Global Wave Group in Albany, Auckland is seeking a data analyst intern or early professional to join our data team. You will clean, transform, and organize data from multiple sources, and support validation and QA processes.

You will build dashboards with Excel, Power BI, or Tableau, perform basic statistics, and share insights with stakeholders. Strong Excel and SQL foundations, plus familiarity with Python or R, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Finance, or related fields; fresh graduates welcome.
• Proficient in Excel with solid SQL foundation.
• Experience with data tools like Python, R, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking.
• Excellent communication and teamwork in English and Mandarin.
• Internship or project experience in data analysis.
• Familiar with cloud platforms AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Understanding of data privacy and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Clean, transform, and organize data from multiple sources.
• Support data validation, quality assurance, and error-checking processes.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Conduct basic statistical analysis to identify trends and patterns.
• Assist in preparing data-driven insights and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with team members to support ongoing projects and ad-hoc data requests.
