Madison Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Facility Maintenance Technician for a prominent Auckland public space. The role involves general repairs, fencing, carpentry, concreting, painting, and assisting with various maintenance tasks across the site.

You don't need trade qualification but practical experience with tools and construction work is required. A full NZ driver's licence, safety awareness, and reliability are essential; ASAP start through January 2027.

Join the team behind one of Auckland's most unique workplaces!
We are looking for a hands-on and reliable Facility Maintenance Technician to join the team across one of Auckland's most loved public spaces.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. One day you could be carrying out general repairs and maintenance, and the next you could be assisting with building a transport crate for animals, repairing fencing, concreting, or supporting other infrastructure projects across the location.
We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, use initiative, and work safely with minimal supervision.
What You'll Be Doing

• General repairs and maintenance
• Fencing and deck repairs
• Hard landscaping projects
• Carpentry and timber repairs
• Concreting and stonework
• Assisting with construction and maintenance projects
• Painting and decorating
• Using a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively

You don't need to be trade qualified, but you must have practical experience using tools and carrying out maintenance, building, or construction-related work.
