Based at Whangārei Hospital, the Painter / Gib Stopper is responsible for maintaining and improving the interior environments of the hospital by carrying out high-quality gib stopping, surface preparation, and painting work. The role ensures that finishes are durable, hygienic, and compliant with healthcare standards while supporting the hospital’s goal of providing a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
The hours of work for this role will be 40hrs/week, 8 hours per day between 6:00am and 6:00pm.
Trade qualification in Painting and Decorating, or equivalent relevant experience.
At a personal level you will be delivery‑focused and be able to multitask. As well as having excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will be a team player, be self‑motivated and be hands‑on with a can‑do attitude.
