Job summary

Stantec in New Zealand is seeking a Senior Contracts Engineer to provide civil engineering expertise across tendering, contract management, and MSQA activities for capital transport projects.

You will manage construction contracts as Engineer's Representative or Principal's Representative, support procurement, perform constructability reviews, monitor finances, and build trusted relationships with clients and contractors. The role also emphasises mentoring and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Relevant technical qualification e.g. BEng. NZCE, BEngTech, Dip Eng.
  • Minimum 7 years' relevant professional experience in contracts engineering and/ or contract management
  • Demonstrated experience delivering infrastructure or transport projects
  • Strong investigation, analytical and report writing skills.
  • Able to build trust and provide support to peers and clients.
  • Experience in both the public and private sectors.
  • Have a strong interest in professional development and building a challenging career in transport engineering.

Description

To provide civil engineering technical expertise and knowledge to contribute to the successful delivery of tender/contract documentation, procurement/tendering, construction contract management, and monitoring, surveillance, and quality assurance (MSQA) activities for our client's capital projects.

Day to day tasks would involve

To be successful for this role you'll need
