Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Broadcast Graphics Artist to join a dynamic Queenstown production team. You will design on-air graphics, lower thirds, and full-screen animations for TV, live events, and digital content, working closely with producers and directors.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience, proficiency in Photoshop/Illustrator/After Effects, and expertise with Vizrt/Chyron/Orad in a live environment, with a strong eye for typography and color theory.

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience as a Broadcast Graphics Artist or similar role.
Proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects.
Experience with real-time broadcast graphics systems like Vizrt, Chyron or Orad is essential.
Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory in a broadcast context.
Ability to work under tight deadlines in a live production environment.

Responsibilities

Design and produce a wide range of on-air graphics, including show opens, branding elements, and data visualizations.
Create dynamic animations and motion graphics for live broadcasts and pre-recorded content.
Operate real-time graphics systems (e.g., Vizrt, Chyron) during live productions in Queenstown.
Collaborate with producers and directors to interpret creative briefs and deliver effective visual solutions.
Manage graphics assets and maintain consistency with broadcast branding guidelines.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to graphics hardware and software during live broadcasts.
