Job summary

Connetics is seeking a Supervisor - Lighting to lead our Lighting field teams in Canterbury, Christchurch. The role combines hands-on leadership with site management to ensure safe, efficient, and high-standard project delivery.

You will coach teams, plan work, manage contractors, monitor progress, and support continuous improvement while liaising with Project Managers and customers. Relevant electrical registration and a current practising licence are required, with a valid driver's licence.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience.
• Experience with scheduling, planning and customer relationships.
• Electrical registration and a current practising licence, along with a current driver's licence.
• Experience in the NZ electrical distribution network is advantageous.
• Class 2 Heavy Vehicle licence would be advantageous.

We're looking for an experienced Supervisor - Lighting to join our Christchurch team. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you'll lead our Lighting field teams, manage site delivery and help ensure our work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

About the Role

As a Supervisor - Lighting, you'll provide people leadership and site management across our Lighting field teams, working closely with Project Managers, Leading Hands, customers and contractors.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading, coaching and developing our Lighting field teams.
• Planning and allocating work to support efficient project delivery.
• Managing sites, contractors and subcontractors.
• Monitoring quality, progress, quantities and site performance.
• Supporting project delivery, workforce planning and continuous improvement.

About You

You'll thrive in this role if you have:

• Proven leadership experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with scheduling, planning and customer relationships.
• Electrical registration and a current practising licence, along with a current driver's licence.

Experience in the NZ electrical distribution network, contract management and a Class 2 Heavy Vehicle licence would be advantageous.
