Job summary

IntoWork is seeking an experienced tradesperson to join our busy plumbing team in the Southern Lakes region. The role requires a current NZ Plumbing, Gasfitting and/or Drainlaying licence, strong practical skills, and the ability to work independently as well as with a team on new residential housing projects.

Applicants should have own trade tools, a full manual driving licence and solid problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Current NZ Plumbing, Gasfitting and/or Drainlaying licence.
• Relevant trade experience.
• Full manual driver licence.
• Own trade tools.
• Residential construction experience, with new-housing experience preferred.
• Strong practical and problem-solving skills.
• Good workmanship and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing, gasfitting and/or drainlaying work within licence and competency.
• Install plumbing and drainage systems on residential projects.
• Install and maintain water supply, waste systems, sanitary fixtures and associated pipework.
• Undertake gasfitting work appropriate to licence.
• Complete drainage installation and groundwork.
• Read plans, specifications and job requirements.
• Identify and resolve practical on-site issues.
• Complete work safely and to a high standard.
• Coordinate effectively with builders, other trades, clients and team members.
• Take appropriate care of tools, equipment and materials.
