Part time, Fixed term, FTTE up to: 0.4, Start Date: 26/01/2026, End Date: 15/12/2026 (Current LSC applied for a flexible work arrangement)

Te Kura o Hau Karetu as the employing school, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Learning Support Coordinator (LSC) to join the team, working 0.4 FTTE at Trentham School. This role will be combined with the 0.6 Specialist ORS Teacher position currently being advertised at Trentham School, creating a full-time (1.0 FTTE) position for the successful applicant.

We are looking for an educator who:

  • Has proven experience supporting tamariki with a wide range of diverse learning needs
  • Understands the New Zealand learning support system, processes, and pathways
  • Builds strong relationships with whānau, staff, and external agencies
  • Brings a strengths‑based, culturally responsive approach
  • Is highly organised, collaborative, and committed to equitable outcomes for all learners

The successful candidate will work alongside our kaiako, LSC network, and leadership team to coordinate learning support, strengthen inclusive practice, and ensure smooth systems and processes that benefit our ākonga.

A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally sustaining practice is essential.
