We are seeking an experienced, fully registered teacher and dedicated collaborator who thrives on partnering with primary-aged learners, their kaiako, and their whānau to ensure every child flourishes.
Employed by Te Kura o Hau Karetu on behalf of the Upper Hutt Cluster and based at Upper Hutt Primary School, you will join a deeply unified network of schools anchored in collective responsibility – grounded in the shared belief that all tamariki in Upper Hutt belong to our wider community and are our collective care.
In this vital role, you will get to know students, work hand-in-hand with kaiako, learning assistants, and leadership to co-design and champion inclusive environments where students with moderate learning and behaviour needs experience sustained engagement and success. Collaboration is at the heart of daily practice – you will serve as a key connector between school teams, external agencies, whānau, and your fellow cluster LSCs, regularly sharing insights, coordinating wraparound support, and strengthening collective capability across our learning community.
A culturally responsive, relational approach is essential, alongside a proven ability to build trusting partnerships that honor the strengths of our tamariki and their communities.
