Tawa College in Wellington is seeking a skilled curriculum leader to head the science department across Years 7–15, including wharekura. The role combines teaching at senior and junior levels with strong leadership responsibilities.

You will work within a supportive team of teachers and middle management, and commit to restorative and culturally sustainable practices while driving teaching and learning improvements.

Science

We are looking for a skilled and motivated curriculum leader who is passionate about teaching and learning to lead our science department. We seek an individual who is committed to education, is open to new ideas and willing to lead change.

Teaching will be at both senior and junior levels within the science curriculum. Please state your specialist subject.

The successful candidate will join a team of supportive and collaborative teaching staff within the department, and middle management leaders of the school. They will be willing to make a commitment to the school’s restorative and culturally sustainable practices.
