Job summary

Auckland Council is seeking part-time Learn to Swim Team Instructors for Takapuna Pool and Leisure Centre. The role involves teaching swimming in a warm pool, ensuring a safe, engaging environment, and enabling 6 hours per week with evening slots.

Successful applicants will receive full training, free access to facility amenities, and a supportive team. Prior teaching qualification is welcome but not essential.

Qualifications

• Confident swimmer with ability to teach basics of swimming.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to complete First Aid training during role.

Responsibilities

• Teach basic swimming principles in a fun, safe environment.
• Work with participants to improve water confidence and skills.
